MY REVIEW

Much like an actual cheesecake, The Cheesecake Queen is a delicious guilty pleasure that readers will absolutely devour. The plot is incredibly cute, and absolutely perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Once I started reading, I could not stop, and quite enjoyed the ride.

The Cheesecake Queen is definitely different from other novels, with a very unique story line. Not too many fiction books are centered around baking, and even fewer of them also involve aspects of magic. Speaking of which, I particularly enjoyed that addition. Although not completely explained, that almost works out better, as what in life ever is?

The romance within the novel was sweeter than sugar and it's extremely hard to read it and not have at least a trace of a smile plastered on your face. Although the romance was pretty predictable, that's understandable, and it was so cute that I can completely forgive any cliches. The characters that became couples worked well together, and I really enjoyed the ways that they came together.

Caeleah as the narrator really added a lot to the reading experience. Her twist on a normal narrative into a bit of investigative journalism created some mystery within the story. Her thirst for truth was contagious and had me desperate to know more. I must admit, this was the subplot that had a major twist that I did not see coming.

Although reading did give me an extreme desire for cheesecake (still, sadly, unfulfilled), I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you find some free time during the holidays, I suggest you get a copy of The Cheesecake Queen and read it. The secret to Cinnamon's cheesecakes but have also been put into the writing of this novel, because Koerner baked up something absolutely irresistable.
