My Review

Remake is an exciting novel that will grab readers from the beginning and not let them go until the end. It is fast pasted, exciting, and emotional. A definite wild-ride that is altogether enjoyable. There are enough plot developments to keep the pages turning, and beautiful language to keep readers involved.

I loved getting drawn into the world of the story. It definitely is different from the world that we live in, although parallels do exist that only add to the intrigue of Freedom. It is a relatively dark setting, which shows in the style and tone of the novel, but those tend to make for my favorite reads.

The concept of Remake has a lot going for it. A unique sci-fi with that has an extreme version of something we all have to deal with. Whether you live in this fictional world or in reality, figuring out the person you want to be isn't easy. Of course, the situations are highly different, but it's still the same general conflict that will resonate with readers.

The premise may have gotten me to pick up the book, but it was due to the characters that I decided to stick with it. Nine was a good voice to the novel. She's witty and entertaining while still being emotional at the proper times. All in all, she felt very real, and I thoroughly enjoyed her perspective.

There were some unanswered questions in Remake that left me wanting more, and I definitely wouldn't be opposed to continuing in this world. Remake may not be for everyone, but it is an exciting and enjoyable read that is completely worth the try.

I could not get enough of Trust Me, I'm Lying and believe that this is a YA novel everyone can enjoy. It has just about everything readers can ask for: great characters, con-artists, a noir feel...the novel is a roller coaster ride that keeps on going until the final page. There were a multitude of twists and turns that kept me guessing the entire way. It's a novel that's impossible to put down, and thoroughly exciting.

The characters of Trust Me, I'm Lying were are wonderfully developed. Julep is a great protagonist. I loved her voice, very snarky and unique, and I love the attitude she has toward her craft. The last thing I want is another bunch of main characters that have too much of a good attitude. I love my slightly immoral characters, as that just makes them more human. However, the other characters are just as fantastic. I absolutely loved Sam (not that Tyler wasn't great as well). The trio is reason enough to immediately pick up this novel.

The story of Trust Me, I'm Lying combines family, friends, crime, suspense...It's a nonstop read that continues to get more and more enjoyable as the pages turn. The novel is absolutely engrossing, and very realistic. I truly was captured by the story, and drawn into this world.

A variety of readers will love this fast-paced and witty novel. The writing is excellent, and there isn't a slow part at all. Trust Me, I'm Lying is a great read and I highly recommend it. Trust me. I'm not lying on this one.
